Federal Incentives for Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEV)
Transportation is one of the largest sources of greenhouse gases in the world. In Canada, transportation takes second place and accounts for a quarter of Canada's total GHG emissions. Over half of these emissions comes from cars and light trucks, so it's no surprise Canada has taken the initiative to promote the use of zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs). The federal government is excited to offer a rebate program that provides between $2,500 to $5,000 for eligible vehicles.
Nova Scotia Electric Vehicle Rebate Program
Nova Scotia is also proud to offer the Electrify program that provides rebates for the purchase or lease of eligible BEVs, PHEVs, and e-bikes purchased within Nova Scotia after February 14, 2021. As of April 1, 2021, buyers will receive instant rebates at the time of sale; the rebates range between $1,000 to $3,000 in provincial incentives.
